Large saloon in the deckhouse, dining room,a large aft owner' cabin, Twin staterooms . Galley is confortable and engine room and a single cabin are situated below the saloon.
MAJOR REFITTINGS:
This yacht after a round the world cruise, three and a half years ago was taken in a boatyard in the west coast of America for a general check. The planking was found of an extremely good quality and 95% sound.The steel structures are sound and very strong. It was decided to change part of the plank –to-frames bronze bolts and the insides were partly removed to unable the shipyard to do the work. For personal economical reason ,the owner had to decide to stop the works after few months ,with the plan of going ahead later, but infact three years have gone without doing anything to the yacht ,and his decision now is to sell the yacht before the end of the refit. I visited the beautifull boat one year ago and I took pictures and analysed the situation
NOTES:
This is a a boat I love very much and I consider her a masterpiece of the late '30ies. Her lines and rig are very "modern"for a classic yacht and extremely powerfull. And the yacht is extremely easy to handle and to sail. With its deep keel she can slice through large waves with confort. This is the reason she has sailed so extensively around the world without problems.
