History:

"Marianne has proved to be such a wanderful little vessel that she has formed the basis for several fine cruisers...The longer we look at the plans of Mrianne, the more we envy Carl Lindmann ( first owner) and the more we realize that for such type of craft it would be difficult indeed to find a better ship. She has faithfully carried her owner trough storm and sunshine and he is indeed a fortunate man to posses a lovely example of present day tendency in small cruising craft....She combines speed, sea keeping ability and comfort in a wonderful manner..."

These  words were written in 1937 in one of his book (Racing, Cruising and design )  by  Uffa Fox , possibly the greatest yachting historian and one of the greatest yacht designer of the 20 century

Sails: All new in 2000. Of high quality, always protected with covers in good condition. Roller reefing jib (Furlex), Mainsail with slab reefing, mizzen, staysail. Selection of older sails including the original cotton and flax sails, from 1936 all still usable. Original bronze winches supplemented by 4 newer Anderson sheet winches. Vetus Anchor winch , l6kg Lewmar Anchor ,50m '/z" chain

    Exterior :Teak laid decks with Marine ply substrate, Spacious Teak cockpit seating 6, small teak table, and separate helm position, period brass compass, engine controls, original bronze winches supplemented by 4 newer Anderson sheet winches.
    Interior: Companionway to main saloon: Small galley to Stbd with 2 ring alcohol stove, Heads department to port. Two upholstered bench seats with originalsmall lockers above, storage lockers below. Original mahogany dressers on both sides. Door to Master cabin. Single berths on each side with original drawersunder. Small access door leading to Focastle with further double bed and hatch out to foredeck. Chain locker in the bow.

    The Marconi Yawl Marianne of Toro was designed by F G Ameen and buit in Sweeden in 1936 . Her varnished  Topsides proudly shown are of precious Honduras Mahogany Unique one off .Much history including all drawings, pre war photographs and various information. Classic cruiser racer offered in good condition, with excellent performance for regattas. Good accommodation making a beautiful family cruiser ,mahogany interior, mainly original but upgraded with modern systems.
    Major renovation in 1997. Hull under water line stripped till bare wood; New oak sternpost; New garboards; New rudder; new plywood waterproof sub deck, new teak deck overlay; various wooden repairs to exterior; renewing of all caulking with rebated Simson caulking systemAdditional work 2014: Five frames repaired, Interior layout upgraded, running rigging refurbished, 2016 new sun cover covering complete boat, new awning, New GPS, Handhold VHF, anchor and chain.
